Before using SUSE 9.1 i use to have SUSE 8.1 (Live evaluation CD)..and i cant help notice something.....you see on SUSE 8 the taskbar..... the sound button and part of the taskbar was framed..... look at the picture..
Hmm, I do see what you mean, did you right-click on the clock and see if the properties dialog has a setting for that?
I'm not currently running KDE, I'm beta-testing the Novell Linux Desktop in GNOME mode, but I remember a setting in the KDE Control-thing that had to do with how items were displayed in the taskbar etc, something about "flat" or "sunken" mode. You _did_ investigate thoroughly the settings dialogs in Control-thing before posting.... Right?
If you can't find it still, I'll switch over to KDE and see what I can do in the next couple of days.
Like RossB says there use to be a check box in the Controll Center that would turn it on and off, I looked around for it but have not found it which means it may not exist anymore. Your best option at this point may be to search KDE-Look and see if there is a theme that has the look you want.
