suse9.3 proplem with shell

i have my suse9.3 box installed on my pc from june till now
and this is my frist proplem
today when i switched my pc On i have this error
Kernel Panic
then when i restart my pc it works good but very sloooooooooooooooooow
and when i open the shell i have this massage

/bin/ls: error while loading shared libraries: libattr.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

and i can not Su to root
cannot install any program cause this error

can any one help

Check /var/log/warn for messages.

You should consider reinstalling your OS.

Suse has a great way to recover from problems.
If you don't want to mess right now with the shell and the messages(which you should do sometime) insert the first cd of SuSE and boot from that, it has an option for recovery.
It saved me once when I messed with the kernel.
