In SuSE 10.0 (no updates, clean install) I go into Konqueror. Specifically I go into earthlink webmail. Subject: titles are blue underlined links to messages; each message has a checkbox to the left to select a given message (e.g. delete, move, etc.), and, there are other links on the page.

A simple mouseover of the first desired link/Subject: makes the link disappear. Clicking on the empty spot gets no action, showing that the link/Subject: has disappeared functionally as well as visually. Clicking/ checking the box to the left makes it disappear too, again, functionally as well as visually.

The same happens with the next item. I can clear the entire page--including the non-message/Subject: links--in 60 seconds.

I don't remember if Su 10 does this outside of this one application. It still shouldn't be this easy to get into this kind of trouble. Even Su 9 didn't do anything of the sort.

I use my various "Linuces" for Internet and email. SuSE 10 is thus useless. I can't believe that this isn't anything short of a major blunder. I have had RH 7.2 & 9, Mand. 9 & 10, and SuSE 9 & 10 (and Win 98SE). Su 10 is the only one that has done anything like this. I am having to fall back on RH 9, which is the only one of the above which hasn't had moderate to severe annoyances.

I submitted a report to bugzilla and have had no response, even "we'll try to work on it", anything, in weeks. They are possbily snowed and cannot be considered a viable possibility.

try using some other browser and check. like firefox.
