Suse 10 64 bit and mplayer

I have a problem with Mplayer, whenever I try to open Mplayer I get this message; mplayer:

error while loading shared libraries: libmp3lame.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have Installed lame from packmans site via yast, and I get no dependeny problems. I am running Suse 10 oss 64 bit and I am wondering if libmp3lame is in a non standard directory? libmp3lame.so.0 is in usr/lib and usr/lib64 on my system.

Any help would be appreciated and sorry for my bad english...

I managed to fix the problem by using YAST to install lame. I had used apt, but that didn't work for some reason.
