Problem when installing packages on Suse 9.3

Hello.
I've installed Suse Linux 9.3 Professional Evaluation Version on my pc and now I need to install some more packages. I have started yast and selected the option to install software, but when it prompts for the DVD1 it says:
ERROR (InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media). I have inserted the correct DVD where there are the packages needed (I searched for them), and the checksum of the DVD seems to be OK. I didn't have any problem during first installation.
Can anyone help me? Is it a problem of the Evaluation Version or something like that?

Thank you in advance.

Daniel.

Open yast2

Click on "change installation source"

Select "add"

Give the path to your DVD/CD - ROM device...

I had a similar problem. I upgraded to Suse 10 via the Eval DVD and all was well. Then, after about two days, all of a sudden I could not use the CD/DVD drive. I checked permissions and even mounted it is a root from the command line, still no luck. I know the DVD in it was good because I installed Suse from it! Then, after about 24 hours and a few reboots, all was well again. I have no idea what the problem was. Although, for you, like was stated above, you might try making sure your cd/dvd drive is listed as a source. I know mine was, and still I could not use the Suse DVD (or any for that matter).

My DVD is listed as a source because it searches on it when trying to install, but the strange thing is that when I set it as a source it says it cannot find any installation information on it, as if it is wasn't the installation DVD. I have reinstalled the distribution on the hard disk with the packages I needed and then they are installed correctly. Another peculiar thing is that the media check with Yast says the DVD checksum is wrong, but when I do the media check during Suse installation process it says is OK.
