Wink problem in playing vedio files


And now its all fine i got installed suse correctly..now the problem is i am not able to play video files.i get the video display but no sound..on the other hand audio files like mp3 etc are working correctly..pls can any one tell what i all need to do

Need more info.
Which app you playing from?
What type of video?

If using mplayer have you installed the win32 codexs. Can be found on mplayer homepage. Just extract and place them in /usr/lib/win32

I am using just the kaffeine player..i just tried playing .mpg videos
is it supported or not..pls give information about more video players

I am not sure but I think if you have the codecs installed like above many players will use them. Head over to the mplayer site and get the all-essential-codecs.

internet connection problem

Hi I have suse 9.3.
I am using broadband internet connection.I am sharing the internet into 2 computers(i have both linux and windows,another one has windows)..I have a CPE (ADSL)modem i connected the out put of modem to a network(ethernet) hub and through the hub i share the internet..

I am even having windows os i can browse in windows..
but i am not able to browse net in linux..my network card is intel PRO/100 VE..has been detected..i have configured ip addrs and subnet mask..
what i all need to do for browsing net in linux..
