OpenSUSE Install Issues with ASUS P4P800SE
I am trying to install OpenSUSE 10.2 on my second hard drive so I can work some Oracle 10g miracles with it.
I burned the DVD and tried installing it. I noticed that while installing it on text mode that it froze while trying to install the "ata_piix,generic" driver for my ASUS P4P800SE motherboard.
I then tried to install with "brokenmodules=ata_piix,generic" as the installer suggested for troublesome drivers, but it still hung at the same place.
Could this be a case of a bad DVD? Or is there another fix for this kind of problem? I know other users can get OpenSUSE to install on my motherboard, so I am sure its compatible.
Thanks!
