OpenSuse 10.2 & Eclipse 3.3

I have downloaded the latest version of Eclipse 3.3.0 (build I20070625-1500) to install on OpenSuse 10.2 64-bit (kernel 2.6.18.8-0.3). When I try to execute it I received "JVM terminated. Exit code=13" error when using the 64-bit sun jdk 1.5.0_11 or jdk 1.6.0_01. However if I use the 32-bit sun jdk 1.5.0_11 no problem.

Has anybody had any success using the 64-bit JDK to run Eclipse 3.3?

Michael

I did once

Well, i had jdk1.6.0_01 64 bits and eclipse 3.3 on ubuntu and worked fine, but i was having problems starting tomcat, so i switched back to 1.6.0 and tomcat started working, but eclipse stopped with the same error... I have another box, running a suse based distro with jdk1.6.0 64 bits but the eclipse version is 3.2, and it's working perfectly. I don't have a clue of wath's going wrong, but I'm going to try to switch back to eclipse 3.2 on the ubuntu box...

I know this is not helping anything, but I'm just sharing a similar problem.

Cheers,
Hernāni

my problem is solved

Well, i switched back to 3.2.2, and the error changed to Exit code=127, and then i solved using the patch from this bugzilla post. I don't know if 3.3 is absuletely necessary for you, but for me, 3.2.2 is perfect. Hope this helps...

Cheers,
Hernāni
