Manual Config Editing for bttv sound device.

Hi team, I've been hunting where suse keeps the config for bttv and radio stuff.
There seems a few places but where I see bttv it is hashed out. i.e. modprobe.conf.
I tried adding to modprobe.conf.local that does fuck all.
I cannot record sound from the tv card although i can hear it.
There is no radio device. Suse keeps putting in a DVB driver for my analogue card sound device. Ther a are no other options in Yast2 for my card onlt DVB stuff.

Well folks, I naturally didn't expect an answer here so here goes.
FYI: I found tv config in [/etc/modprobe.d/tv]
Sound config is also in there.
I went to expert part in Yast TV conf and entered card number and tuner number and radio on, manually. Then I ignored the Yast setup of the tv sound device. Or removed it again.
Tv and radio works well.
Still cannot record sound.
I enter [record] into a terminal and the record app starts. There is no volume bars. I switch around
cables and redo it all again. Break and fix. No record sound.

The gear I was after is written by Yast into the /etc/modprobe.d/tv
file as:
---------------------
/etc/modprobe.d/tv
---------------------
alias char-major-81 videodev
options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1
# YaST2 configured TV card
# Ogcx.xuduPkbCZQ0:Bt878 Audio Capture
alias char-major-212-3 bt878
# YaST2 configured TV card
# Ogcx.xuduPkbCZQ0:Bt878 Audio Capture
install char-major-212-3 /sbin/modprobe bt878
options bttv card=37 radio=1 tuner=5

# YaST2 configured TV card
# WL76.bJ31E5obFa9:User-Defined TV Card
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
alias char-major-81-1 off
alias char-major-81-2 off
alias char-major-81-3 off

------------------

That is all I have. Good luck.
I tried.

Still cannot get sound to record.
Here is some more if anyone wants to help.
When I set the tv card up without the bt878 sound module, gv4l and record will start up but not record.
I can hear sound and all apps work with sound well.
If I add anything to do with sound the above will not start, hang.
The Suse TV config will only let me add a DVB sound driver.
From modprobe.d:
Quote:
install char-major-212-3 /sbin/modprobe bt878; /sbin/modprobe alps_tdlb7
I think I need to change alps_tdlb7 to something else. But what?
I checked my MDK install for clues but it's a bit different and it woked well.
I've tried many variations. Maybe I'm in the wrong place?
If I cannot resolve this then my media centre will be Mandrake powered.

Any help would be good.
