Installing OpenSUSE 11.0 64-bit on VMWARE ESX

I'm trying to install OpenSUSE 11.0 64-bit as a guest OS on VMWare ESX blade system. But it looks like it doesn't recognize the virtual hard disk. This is what I've tried:

- boot off the ISO file on ESX - can't find hard disk
- boot off the ISO file on VMWare Workstation - can't find hard disk

- boot off the bootable DVD on ESX - can't find hard disk
- boot off the bootable DVD on VMWare Workstation - can find hard disk

Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

What scsi device did you choose for the host? Buslogic or LSI logic? I am not sure what OpenSuse supports, try switching the one you selected.

hey i have a simillar problem, i know openSuse will recognize buslogic, but the problem is when im trying to install, the partition part fail cos of random error codes, it says sometimes -3030, or -1808 or something like that, the thing is that this happend only when im trying to install the 64 bits version, when i install the 32 btis everything works fine.. anyone could help me out ?? ive been trying to figure it out since a while now.. any help would be apreciated
