How to update F2 "link"

I had installed Firefox 1.0.1 and 1.02 using the tar file downloaded at mozilla.org
and so was able to install it at a directory of my choice, e.g. /others/firefox

So, when starting Firefox, I would press Alt-F and key in Firefox and start the program.

However, when installing FIrefox 1.0.3, the tar file from mozilla.org doesn't work due to a dependency problem and i had to download the rpm from somewhere else and I installed it with YAST.

The problem now is when I use ALt-F2 and key in Firefox, I would receive an error message
"KDEInit could not launch '/other/firefox//firefox"
I had to key /usr/bin/firefox.

Is there a way that I can correct this "link" and key in Firefox at Alt-F2 and just work.

i don't know if i understood your problem well, but i think the symbolic link located in /usr/bin is broken. Just delete it as root and build a new one as follows:

ln -s <location/firefox> /usr/bin

this should fix it.
