"creating symbolic link" "operation not permitted"
Hi,
I have the following problem with zipslack 10.2:
(but googling around lets me assume, that it is not specific to (zip-)Slack)
I have mounted another (FAT32-)partition of my harddisk; I can copy files to and from this partition but I can't create any (soft/hard) links on this partition.
The links are supposed to reference files on the same disk, no "partition crossing".
# ln -s foo bar
results in something like
"ln: creating symbolic link 'bar' to 'foo': Operation not permitted"
(file 'foo' exists, of course)
Searching Google, some people assume, that links are generally impossible on FAT-partitions - but that is nonsense, as the root-fs of Zipslack is FAT (UMSDOS) too, and there it works without problems.
Any Idea?
