Help! Question about NFS networking!

I have configured NFS on the server side. When I tried to mount it from the client side, an error message pop up which is "connection time out". So I login the server side, and use YaST to open the ports in firewall and make them available. Then everything working fine.
My question is how to manually configure this step without using YaST.

Thanks in advance.

You can edit /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2
The file is quite self-explaining. For the required settings for NFS networking, have a look at your YaST-modified file.

Thanks.

Anyway, how to look at the YaST-modified file?

There are multiple command-line editors available (vi, pico, etc.). Personally, I prefer pico. You need to be root to apply the changes.
Code:
sudo pico /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2
Just to have a look, you may use less and you don't need to be root.
