calling all networking gurus (nfs install)

I am having a tremendously hard time with trying to install RH6.2 over the network! i have tried both ftp and nfs installation. and this is my report:
Ftp: everything goes fine up until the file begins to transfer ( i possibly even get a little bit of the file downloaded)
And then RH6.2 installation just hangs there waiting patiently.

NFS: Almost the same deal as above, the NFS share is mounted correctly and thats about it! It just hangs there 2.

Note in both cases the connection appears to be initiated correctly, but no further.

I have a captured file from ethereal during the attempt of the nfs installation if anyone is interested: i would have to email it to you.

cheers
