GCC Compiler (DVDBACKUP)

I have just installed SUSE 10.0 and I am trying to install DVDBACKUP.

Both libdvdcss and libdvdread appear in usr/local/lib.

I downloaded dvdbackup.c from dvd.chevelless230.com.

I have tried to install using the following two scripts:

"gcc -o dvdbackup -I /usr/local/lib -L /usr/local/lib -ldvdread dvdbackup.c"
"gcc -o dvdbackup -I/usr/include/dvdread -L/usr/lib -ldvdread dvdbackup.c".

I am surely entering something wrong, for when I enter DVDBACKUP in a terminal session it tells me command not found.

If I enter ./dvdbackup I get the following message.

"error while loading shared libraries: libdvdread.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory".

Oh!! by the way, Yes I am new to Linux..........., so please be kind.

Can't help with the compiler question. Maybe you point to the wrong library path.

But maybe you'll find this interesting:

Thanks abisko00.

The RPM's got me up and running, I appreciate it very much. I still want to understand what I'm doing wrong on compiling the source (learning thiing, you know), anyway thanks again for the info on the website.
