you have to add the new source in your /etc/apt/sources.list (at the end of the file, if you want) like this :

rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 base
rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 secutiry
rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 security-prpm
rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 updates
rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 updates-prpm

or

rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 base secutiry security-prpm updates updates-prpm

you can add sources too like this :

rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 base
rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 secutiry
rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 security-prpm
rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 updates
rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 updates-prpm

or

rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 base secutiry security-prpm updates updates-prpm

tell me if it works

PS : comment all other sources with a # at the beginning of their line

here what it says in the sources.list.ftp from ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/...-i586/examples

rpm ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 base updates-prpm updates security-prpm security
rpm-src ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/Linux/MIRROR.suse/apt/ SuSE/9.3-i586 base updates-prpm updates security-prpm security
