Smile add apt-get mirror

Hi, new debian user. How do I add a mirror for apt-get? In gentoo i know to just add it to make.conf. Is there a similar way of doing it in debian?

Thanks
-John

You can also type "apt-setup" in the console.
I dont know if its like in Gentoo.
