Suse 9.2 + UT2004 + Nvidia 6629

Heya. I installed SuSE Linux 9.2 on my machine. Seems to be an okay distro, but Unreal Tournament 2004 only plays in 800x600 mode - I am unable to change the res.

3D is enabled and I configured SaX2 to go as high as 1280x1024.

Not sure what I can do, so I'm asking if anyone else has had the same problem?

Thx!

Hmm, werid, so your desktop is now set to 1280x1024, and in the game you can only get 800x600, thats odd, on my desktop is set to 1024x768 and so is unreal when i play it.
My graphics card is a 6800 and monitor is a 17" I have no clue, anyone have some ideas.

I found the solution!
Go to your /home/<username>/.ut2004 directory (the . (dot) means it is a hidden folder)
Edit with your UT2004.ini file and change the
.
.
.
[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
WindowedViewportX=640
WindowedViewportY=480
FullscreenViewportX=800
FullscreenViewportY=600
.
.
.

to
[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
WindowedViewportX=640
WindowedViewportY=480
FullscreenViewportX=1024
FullscreenViewportY=768
.
.
.

Try to do a search for 800 and whenever it refers to any kind of resolution change ito 1024 (and 600 to 768) to get 1024x768 resolution

The same applies to any resolution (eg 1280x1024 , 1600x1200 etc)

Hope i helped!
