After installing suse 9.2 when visiting a web page with flash content firefox crashes (if it is run from a console this is the output when it dies
Code:
~> firefox
The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 117 error_code 8 request_code 144 minor_code 3)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causingit.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
The same page in konqueror displays without crashing but the flash content just does not load.
I also have tryed to download a new version on flash player from
www.macromedia.com (the installer wont accept /opt/MozillaFirefox and says something about give a valid path). This lead to me copying libflashplayer.so into /usr/lib/browser-plugins but seems to make no difference.
Anyone got any ideas on getting flash to work?
