xinit in solaris 10
Hi.
I'm still exploring my system and was wondering why the only xinit I have is found in /usr/openwin/bin. Can I use this to launch my X server? And if yes, why is it there? I wanted to write a xinit frontend (such as startx) and blocked my task at this very beginning... Really, what I want to accomplish is the possibility of logging in the terminal and starting X using my own .xinitrc.
Thanks,
Enrico.

Thanks jlliagre, it _almost_ works! I launched dtconfig -d and it reports desktop login as being disabled. Unfortunately, as soon as I log out from the console, the desktop environment is started again!

well, I read it and probably got some problem with it. The man page states that:
OPTIONS
-d Disables desktop auto-start feature. At end of boot cycle, platform's
native text based login mechanism will be used. [removed, I copied from wrong docs... :S]
So:

Yesterday I rebooted, so I think I should have seen text based login.
Where am I wrong? I'm surely missing something!
