Can you elaborate on how the folder is to be accessed by the clients ?
Are the clients using windows or Linux/Solaris ?
What applications will be used to upload files ?

yes. Actually i have an application running on JBoss server which will be accessed by users through browsers. Now I want to give them facility to view some of the files on server machine.
When JBoss runs on windows, I can put these files in a web shared folders can give my user a view to those files though browser. How can i do this(to share that folder for web), if JBoss is running on solaris machine.
I know that i can put those files in deploy folder server of JBoss and jBoss will itself show them, but i don't want to put load on it.
As far i ve heard, there are some settings in solaris which can make a folder web readable through browser.

Sure, that depends on the Web Server used, and you have the choice with Solaris 10 between:
Bundled:
- Apache 1.3
- Apache 2
- Sun Application Server
Unbundled:
- Sun Web Server
- JBoss
and dozens of others ...

I suppose you are asking too about write access, here too, you have a choice between protocols: FTP, NFS, WEBDAV, Samba, ...
