X config problem

I've never had a problem before, but with my new install of 9.1 on a thinkpad T23 I am only able to get 640x480 resolution. As far as I can tell the config is all OK, but it is choosing the lowest resolution listed. When I removed all of the options except for the native 1400x1050 resolution (yes, it's odd) x wouldn't start. I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

fixed . . .

I got it working.

I just had to tweak my refresh rates. I couldn't find refresh rates for the TFT in any documentation, but I tried some changes and it works. Could there be any problem with this setup as I'm not certain of the rates? It's working though.

Anyone know about refresh rates for a thinkpad screen?
