slackware64-14.1-iso download link broken

I wanted to get the 14.1 install dvd image but found the link on
http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackwa...re64-14.1-iso/
to be broken.
I got there from http://www.slackware.com/getslack/ then click on mirros then click on iso-images then on the slackware64-14.1
Apparently the mirror it points to no longer has the iso images (http://slackware.muzzy.it/slackware-...nstall-dvd.iso)

I then went to the full mirror list and searched down until I found one that had the 64_bit 14.1 iso imags ... the first one I found is
http://slackware.mirrors.ovh.net/ftp...re64-14.1-iso/

Hi,

I see no problems with the links to the ISO files. I usually use from a console 'wget http://slackware.mirrors.ovh.net/ftp...nstall-dvd.iso' to get the ISO. Then I will get 'wget http://slackware.mirrors.ovh.net/ftp...ll-dvd.iso.md5' for the hash to verify the downloaded ISO.

I really find that using 'wget' to be reliable. I rarely will use a http download. Cleaner download for me and useful to verify from the 'cli' the md5sum for the ISO.

Once you verify the download then burn the image, be sure to verify the burn.

Plus, be sure to get the patches/updates for 'Slackware 14.1'. You can get notices by signing up at Mailing Lists

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

I also had no issues downloading the iso, did an md5 checksum and mounted. It all looked good on my side. Give it another shot!

Well I get this when I try to download the iso with firefox from my desktop:
Quote:
The requested URL /slackware-iso/slackware64-14.1-iso/slackware64-14.1-install-dvd.iso was not found on this server.
And basically the same thing if I do the same from a machine that can do http traffic directly to internet while using wget:

Quote:
root@jep:/tmp# wget http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackwa...nstall-dvd.iso

root@jep:/tmp
but it doesn't happen when I do the same off http://slackware.mirrors.ovh.net/ftp...re64-14.1-iso/

Could it be that I get that message because the mirror server is too busy at the time I try to download ?

as you can see browsing it manually, it seems slackware.muzzy.it doesn't store slackware isos anymore

http://slackware.muzzy.it/slackware/

so I think it should be removed for those from mirrors.slackware.com: report this to rworkman.

Yes I had that sorted out on the initial post:
Quote:
Apparently the mirror it points to no longer has the iso images (http://slackware.muzzy.it/slackware-...nstall-dvd.iso)
But I got odd responce back so I decided it might be a good idea to show the error and make a hypothesis to why for some it worked and for me it did not.

I wrote rworkman a PM. Thanks ponce.
