mkisofs slackware64-current "missing pathspec" error

I emailed Eric (below) but I know it could be a while before I hear back from him so I will post here too. I am getting a "missing pathspec" error with the mkisofs command he posted on http://bear.alienbase.nl/mirrors/sla...me_dvd.mkisofs

I have the full monty (slackware64-current) downloaded on my slackware64-14.2 box and using the stock mkisofs (cdrtools-3.01-x86_64-3 pkg). Maybe this package needs upgrading?

Below is the output from his rather extended command line options. He has the actual iso posted on that site too but it is impossible to download it with current bandwidth restrictions.
Thanks for any pointers.

Hi Eric,

I have the full snapshot source for slackware64-current and trying to
build the install DVD from the readme
(above:http://bear.alienbase.nl/mirrors/sla...me_dvd.mkisofs)
. I am trying this on my Slackware64_14.2 machine. It's complaining
about a missing Pathspec. Hoping you might have a pointer. Below is
the command and the output.

root@joseki:/h/archive/slackware64-current# mkisofs -o
/h/archive/slackware64-current-install-dvd.iso -R -J -V
"Slackware-current DVD" -hide-rr-moved -hide-joliet-trans-tbl -v -d -N
-no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -sort
isolinux/iso.sort -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c isolinux/isolinux.boot
-preparer "Slackware-current build for x86_64 by Eric Hameleers
<alien@slackware.com>" -publisher "The Slackware Linux Project -
http://www.slackware.com/" -A "Slackware-current DVD - build
26_Jul_2019" -x ./pasture -x ./testing -x ./source -x ./extra/source
-eltorito-alt-boot -no-emul-boot -eltorito-platform 0xEF
-eltorito-boot isolinux/efiboot.img
Warning: creating filesystem that does not conform to ISO-9660.
Setting input-charset to 'ISO-8859-1' from locale.
3.01-fix-20151126 (x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu)
mkisofs: Missing pathspec.

Maybe I need to upgrade my cdrtools?
cdrtools-3.01-x86_64-3:usr/bin/mkisofs

Know you're busy and it might be a while if/before I hear back from
you so I'll try posting on LQ too.

There isn't a newer version of cdrtools, except for an alpha version of 3.02:
cdrtools-3.02a09.tar.bz2
and even that one is getting old, it's from dec 2017 (I got it straight from Jurg Schily's sourceforge page).
According to the README he's not working on this anymore as a separate project, you have to distill it from the BIG schilytools package.

[SOLVED] mkisofs slackware64-current "missing pathspec" error

Thanks Eric,

I was trying to include the target path in with the filename spec - i.e. -o "../slackware64-current-install-dvd.iso". Seems the path must be "." and the very last argument. Also I tried ".." and it complained about not finding the isolinux tree. All good now. Thanks for your help.

You missed a backslash and a dot.

Cheers, Eric
