can't log out or shut down after current upgrade-all

default Slackware huge install; slackpkg upgrade-all now can't log out or shut down

Did you select a "current" mirror in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors?
Did you run "slackpkg update" before running "slackpkg upgrade-all"?

Did every single install(https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackw...nstall-dvd.iso) step,(huge) by the book, with defaults. Then after selecting mirror # https://mirror.slackbuilds.org/slack...are64-current/ ran slackpkg by the book.

Thanks to https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...eamer-1034349/ and one other that I don't see info for at moment; he is the one who actually solved it. this problem simply solved and reading notes from https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest.../allend-72541/ and https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...ynwulf-179521/
