Xscreensaver problem 13.1 64

I just noticed that xscreensaver is not working properly;

I did package upgrade my system (13.1 64) recently. I use the "random"
setting on xscreensaver, it just happened to be on StonerView when I
looked at it.

Possibly related problems

I posted earlier today Xscreensaver problem 13.1 64, no response.
While typing that post, I saw the link to search for related problems,
fine, I clicked it, saw 4-5 posts with a similar title. I checked the
first one listed, it was not relevant, went back to check the others,
and they were no longer listed. Tried to bring them back, no go.
After the thread was posted, I did a search again, for
Xscreensaver problem, got a blank screen with a strange message at
the top of the browser. Maybe someone could translate this...I don't
know blank.
I tried updating my computer again with the slackpkg sequence, while
waiting, rebooted, and had a terminal window open with messages from the kernel. It is posted also.
Help appreciated.

By slocate, could not find libgnome.so, but did find libgnomecompat.so in /usr/lib64/compiz. In /usr/lib64 was
libglade etc. I tried this link ln -T /usr/lib64/compiz/libgnomecompat.so libgnome.so while in /usr/lib64;
this didn't work.

I installed libgnome for 13.1.
In /usr/lib64 these files are now found:
4 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1574 May 26 2010 libgnome-2.la*
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Aug 7 18:57 libgnome-2.so -> libgnome-2.so.0.3000.0*
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Aug 7 18:57 libgnome-2.so.0 -> libgnome-2.so.0.3000.0*
96 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 97088 May 26 2010 libgnome-2.so.0.3000.0*
Still not working.
I set
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Aug 8 10:21 libgnome.so -> libgnome-2.so.0.3000.0*
Still not working.
Any help appreciated.

I've been installing any gnome package listed when I run xscreensaver-demo.
I can't find thre one that contains "glade_module_register_widgets"; I
installed glade, it wasn't there.
I'll ask again...any help appreciated.

What about doing a new "slackpkg update && slackpkg install-new && slackpkg upgrade-all" to check if that helps? That is if you want to be on the current version.

glade3-3.6.7-x86_64-2gsb.txz
GConf-2.28.1-x86_64-1gsb.txz gnome-vfs-2.24.3-x86_64-1gsb.txz
ORBit2-2.14.18-x86_64-1gsb.txz libbonobo-2.24.3-x86_64-1gsb.txz
avahi-0.6.25-x86_64-11gsb.txz libgnome-2.30.0-x86_64-1gsb.txz
xscreensaver-5.11-x86_64-1.txz

These are the packages I've installed so far, trying to solve this problem. I
uninstalled and reinstalled xscreensaver. Each time I install one, another
is listed as being not found, then I install it, etc.

Xscreensaver did work properly until after I updated the system. When I
installed 13.1 I selected all of the packages, so the gnome software
was installed initially. It seems to have been deleted.

Here is the current warning when I run xscreensaver-demo.

(xscreensaver-demo:9336): libglade-WARNING **: could not find `gnome' init function: `glade_module_register_widgets': /usr/lib64/libgnome.so: undefined symbol: glade_module_register_widgets
xscreensaver-demo: 08:38:25: Gtk-warning: GtkSpinButton: setting an adjustment with non-zero page size is deprecated
etc

I'm now trying to find the gnome init function that contains the
glade_module_register_widgets.

I updated my system for the first time after reading an alien bob post
on how to do it in another thread:
slackpkg update
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg upgrade-all
slackpkg clean-system

I've done it once more since then.

Do you still have the same error messages?
