Wireless internet

How do I go about configuring wireless internet? I have a TRENDnet TEW-423PI Wi-Fi card and a Linksys router.

depends on the chipset that card uses
for some you can use linux-wlan-ng
for others you need to use ndiswrapper

Is it PCI or PCMCIA? What does the output of 'lspci' say the chipset is? I googled for "TRENDnet TEW-423PI linux" and followed quite a few links that may be helpfull to you.

Need a little more info I guess... This might be what you want if it's a PCI card for your desktop.

Doesn't seem to be directly supported by the manufacturer tho..

using lspci, the entry in question is "Texas Instruments ACX 111 54 Mbps Wireless Interface."

From what I'm reading, the driver for this is experimental and problematic to install. I think I'll see what I can to about running a cable to the regular ethernet card.

Thanks for your help--
Trent
