Windows not Maximised

This is a really stupid thread but this is really bugging me so I have to ask.

All my windows in KDE are always opening in the non maximized mode. firefox , konquerer etc. Its a tremendous pain to always keep on maximising them. How do I make open maximised the default behaviour for some windows?

KDE on SLACKWARE 11 (the default KDE With Slackware )
2.6.18

Right-click on the window decoration bar and look through the menu.
It's there, but I'm not using KDE atm so I can't say where. It's
not hard to find, and since you've been 9 hours without a reply...

ok Thanks. I will try it out.
I was just wondering why doesn't do it the easy way... remember the way the app was closed and then reopen it in the same state i.e Maximised / Minimised

It will do that - there is something in those menus where
you set this to the default. Not using KDE because it changes
other things in my system without my permission. If you can
not find it, post back and I'll boot another box into KDE.

The secret is getting the window to the size you want, then closing it via the menu bar (File --> Quit), as opposed to clicking the close button in the decoration bar. After this first close, you can go back to using the close button. This works for me every time.

Bill

TSquaredF, that was the most useful tip I've read lately. Thanks for sharing.
