Why is this message after "slackpkg update" ?

Try run this first:

# slackpkg update gpg

Then after gpg is set you may run # slackpkg update for the need updates.

Did you install Slackware 32-bit but have uncommented a 64-bit Slackware URL in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors (or the other way round)?
