A quick question if I may: why is Cyrus still at v2.1.26 on Slackware? Upstream stable is at v3.0.5, but there was also a 2.2 series, a 2.3 series, a 2.4 series, and a 2.5 series. Perhaps an incompatibility somewhere?

Webpage has stable at 2.1.26. Github shows latest release is 2.1.27-rc7.
I don't know anything about Cyrus, but apparently Cyrus IMAP is at version 3.0.5 while Cyrus SASL is at 2.1.26. Slackware includes Cyrus SASL, while Cyrus IMAP is on SBo.

Thanks to everyone who replied.
Yes, my confusion: the term "Cyrus" is ambiguous and could mean Cyrus SASL or Cyrus IMAP. Sorry about this. I was under the impression that Cyrus SASL was a subpackage of Cyrus IMAP (what I was calling "Cyrus") and shared its version number, but this isn't the case. Thanks again for the clarification.
