general use on 2 laptops/dual boot workstation
and server full dns/mail web serving, media server.....

i use Slack for everything until the software doesn't support

Thanks for digging up that thread, Gilbert.

I posted the poll in the link because, at the time, the perception in the Linux press and on Linux-related web sites was that Slackware was great for a server OS, but really wasn't well-suited to being a desktop OS (compared to Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.).

I've actually been thinking of updating my poll choices and posting a new thread. I'm wondering if things have changed much since I posted the original thread.
