Troublemaker LILO

Hey,
I got hold of Slackware 10 and went on to install it on my desktop. All working fine there. But then i went on to install slackware on my laptop (IBM R40). Here LILO refuses to get installed on to the MBR or superblock. I have no bootloader installed now. No way to Slack except use bootdisk. Can't i install grub? Please suggest sumthin fast.

do you have some virus-protection in the bios ? ( if so , put it off )
and what are the errors when installing lilo ?

Hi,
I disabled all security settings of BIOS but yet no luck. Is there any way of using Grub instead of LILO. Worth a try.
