You could give them to the Peking Moon restaurant. (You know... the place I eat every day at noon.)

Possibly a bad reference, but I don't care

I love this (under "SELECT PROMPTING MODE"):

newbie Use verbose prompting (the X series takes one year)

Forrest

p.s. Wrong thread, but I'll leave it here anyway.

That song probably led some people to wonder what really happens at Chinese places.

Slightly OT: Just only wanted to comment that since my trips to China, I know that dog *IS* actually eaten, cat; not so much, or at all. In fact the meat itself (dog) is actually easily distinguishable from beef, chicken or pork. BTW wifey is Chinese, but doesn't indulge in dog. --Just had to comment on that.

Anyways, lets get back OT. Slackware13.

I'm not home yet, but as soon as I am, I will be downloading it! YAY!

I'm pondering whether to go multilib or stay pure with my Slack64 13.0. Might get adventurous and try Eric's recipe.

Why not setup a pure 64, and then run VirtualBox or QEmu and run a multilib in a VM to experiment with? (Thats is, if hopefully said VM doesn't require multi lib in the first place. )

FWIW, I have 32-bit 'runnability' enabled in my Slack64 kernel, and have (AFAIK) proven that it will run 32bit apps, because I booted my Slack11 system by accident one day with it.

NOTE: this doesn't imply anything regarding *building* stuff -- that still requires other stuff (multilib?)

Yeah, I could do that. Get the 64 bit VirtualBox, it runs either arch.
On the other hand, I'm keeping 12.2, so I won't be short of a 32 bit system. I could then compare performances: pure 32 v multilib.

So far, I've stayed pure 64. As of now, I've yet to actually need anything that was only 32 bit. Then again, I have never used wine, skype, or adobe reader.

Who knows, though? I may have to do it yet.

multi-lib works just fine and Eric's instructions are perfect, as usual.

I decided to go purely 64-bit on my notebook, (Slackware I mean). Only 32-bit is XP. I do have a 64-bit of XP, but not so sure about it. So I will keep dual boot as XP32, Slack64.
