checked the glxgears I have 3d tried to check system settings and opengl same issue occurs as when I try to play a game such as nexuiz or world of padman which is my display is rendered unusable do to a colorful wavy distortion tried to file a bug report get the same result I assume this is do to the 3.7.1 upgrade since the previous worked like a champ ran across this on Google : http://www.slackware.com/changelog/current.php?cpu=i386 Im running on 64 bit with multitab capabilities my display model is hpl1906 and my graphics card is from motherboard mt68-s2p 70xx.

my question is does anyone know of a manual way to edit the opengl information rather than just viewing it?

as it turns out I needed to run slackpkg reinstall packages and later xconfigure from a console loggin though now believe I could have taken the time to select some options all is as well as it was before*past*

If i delete the xorg file Im able to load games such as urban terror and nexuiz.
if the xorg file exists than urbanterror and nexuiz get me back to log in screen.
Ive reinstalled xorg games drivers reworked xorg.conf file each time to no avail.
OpenGL loads but defaults back to xrender on reboot.
other games such as world of padman and supertux2 have no issues ither way

i deleted the xorg.conf files after reinstalling ftgl along with xorg video files went into my monitor settings in system settings and set my defaults

What graphic card do you have? Intel integrated?

You can try either recent nouveau, or the proprietary blob.

#perezomail I think you had the proprietary driver installed with the previous kernel . Just re install the driver and all will be good
