svnserve after recent upgrade

Hi, I am running 12.0, patched up to date. Since the recent svn update

subversion-1.5.7-i486-1_slack12.0.tgz
and the apr updates

apr-1.3.8-i486-1_slack12.0.tgz
apr-util-1.3.9-i486-1_slack12.0.tgz

I don't see the svnserve process exiting cleanly: ps aux says (lots of times):

svnowner 3924 0.0 0.6 7356 3064 ? Ss Sep01 0:00 svnserve -i -r /home/svnowner/repos
svnowner 3952 0.0 0.6 7356 3112 ? Ss Sep01 0:00 svnserve -i -r /home/svnowner/repos
svnowner 4306 0.0 0.5 7336 3048 ? Ss Sep01 0:00 svnserve -i -r /home/svnowner/repos
s

Anyone else seen this? is it a known bug?
thanks
chris
