Stupid question I should know....

I just removed all traces of NTFS from one of my drives.

Now the stupid question: How do I format it as reiserfs? using man mkfs, it makes no reference to reiserfs.

No, I do not want a discourse on how to partition. I just want to make the partitions i created in fdisk to be reiserfs.

So, How? As I said, I should know, but it's been a long week....

mkreiserfs is the command you are looking for.

mkreiserfs --help for the help file. You can also look at http://www.namesys.com/ for more info.

Good to know. I'm probably safe here in Arizona

Surprised no one mentioned
Code:
man -k reiser
which would have listed all references to reiser.

Aside: I attended a talk by Hans Reiser on Reiser4 at SCaLE 4 in LA last February. He's very soft spoken and although I didn't understand a lot of what he said you certainly got the impression that he was a very deep thinker and had some definite ideas where file system architecture should be headed.
