I have one problem with my slackware. And that's annoying because all the other problems were solved quite rapidly by me
SO the problem is that I don't get any sound When I install slack w/ kernel 2.4.22, it works allright, but on other kernels (2.6.1-2.6.6), EVEN is I compile the ALSA Sound Blaster Live! (EMU10K1) support, I don't get anything on my speakers When I fire up alsaconf, it says: no card detected, and the same is with alsamixer
Try going to the alsa website and download the newest version or use swaret tool to upgrade.
If your using KDE you did go into sound system and enable alsa right? http://www.alsa-project.org/
you didn't get me right, eh? I have a working alsa because the sound works under kernel 2.4.22! the problem comes with kernel 2.6.6 (for example)... also I don't have KDE ATM because <<look at the software forum>>
