sound in a loop...till a fresh install


hi this problem of my Slackware11.0 kernel 2.4.33.3...is something off the way

my sound device works fine when i install my linux system..but when i turn off the computer and then switch it back on..the sound goes in an endless loop....this is really weird!!please help me i have installed my linux 30 times for this problem...i think their is something related to processor cache..i have done alsactl store..but it didn't worked after a shutdown

What version of alsa are you running? (cat /proc/asound/version).

Alsa 1.0.12-1.0.13 had this issue on some sound cards, but I think it was fixed in 1.0.14rc1. You might try it.
