Sometimes black screen after logout x in Slackware-Current

i'm using intel i3-2100 on a asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 with 4g ram.the problem is mostly as same as this thread
http://linux.error-exception.org/art...ckware-Current

i quote it here:"I just get a black screen with a blinking "_" in the top-left corner when I logout"

this situation happens occasionly, maybe one in 4 or 5 times.

i use xfce ,so i can't apply the method in this thread:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...urrent-780540/

he uses kdm ,but i use startx to start xfce.

i use slackware-current. but the kernel is 3.7.10 ,i compiled and install it. i checked Xorg.0.log ,nothing happens special.

any idea?

I encountered that also on my Acer Travelmate 1000 running --Current after the first round of updates early this week. That's the only computer I turn off and on regularly (it's the kitchen computer and the cat likes to sleep on the keyboard). My workaround was to issue the shutdown command from a terminal in Fluxbox.

It seems to have cleared up after the second round of updates later in the week. This is strictly anecdotal proves nothing except that I was too lazy to try to determine what caused the problem.

I had it happen to me again this evening. We may not be out of the woods yet.
