slackware64-current sound problem on T440s Thinkpad

I installed full slackware64-current using Alien Bob mirror-slackware-current.sh, everything is working fine except sound. I can hear KDE login sound only but if I played anything on youtube I dont get any sound.

Slackware is picking the wrong sound card "card 0" I needed to change to "card 1". After creating "/etc/asound.conf" file I managed to get sound working when I play music on youtube
Code:
cat /etc/asound.conf
pcm.!default {
        type hw
        card 1
}
ctl.!default {
        type hw
        card 1
}
Although I have sound working now but speaker-test still failing
Code:
h@darkstar$ speaker-test

speaker-test 1.0.27.1

Playback device is default
Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 1 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
Channels count (1) not available for playbacks: Invalid argument
Setting of hwparams failed: Invalid argument
Code:
h@darkstar$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: HDMI [HDA Intel HDMI], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: HDMI [HDA Intel HDMI], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: HDMI [HDA Intel HDMI], device 8: HDMI 2 [HDMI 2]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC292 Analog [ALC292 Analog]
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
I'm looking for a cleaner solution for my problem.

Thank you!

replacing the content of "etc/asound.conf" with below solved the sound and speaker-test problem.
Quote:
defaults.pcm.card 1
defaults.ctl.card 1
The only thing remaining is the internal mic is not working. the light of "mute mic" button on Fn keys is always on and does not respond if I preseed it still on no change. any suggestions? thanks.

Problem solved by launching "alsamixer" and hitting "space" on "capture".
