Slackware64 13.37: 70-persistent-cd.rules not automatically generated

And it was under Slackware64 13.0 and 13.1.

Due to other issues with the 13.1 to 13.37 upgrade, I ended up performing a clean install so I don't think that this is due to leftover cruft.

Any ideas?

Hmm, I checked my VirtualBox clean install of Slackware64 13.37 and /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules

I moved that file out of /etc/udev/rules.d/ and on reboot is was recreated.

Perhaps something got mis-configured during the upgrade?

This machine I'm using now is an upgrade.... lets see what happens....

Edit: recreated after reboot.

Sure you did not you un-check use hal from the scripts run pkgtool
re run your scripts make sure you are using hal udev was merged into hal in 2008. let me know . Yes I understand we can run it with out hal.
but one more thing make sure bios set to none O/S. I also had no problems with the udev rules..
all 11 of my systems up graded fine and they have many none native pkgs installed.

Ah. Not only am I a d*ckhead, but an idiot too.

It helps to plug the SATA cable into the DVD drive after you unplugged it when changing the power supply.
