I downloaded slackware and saved the iso's to my 2nd drive.Curious what I would need to type to run the install from the 2nd drive and not burn cd's or if its not possible Thank You

I believe you can't make an instalation from the iso image, because that is an image of the CD and not a readable filesystem but I can be wrong.

But you can install from the HD.

First, delete the ISO's, you don't need them. Download the boot and root floppy images (at least I think they're images) and create those floppies. Next, download each package series you want from one of the mirrors listed on http://www.slackware.com/ . Put them all in the same directory.

Boot the system from the boot floppy and switch to the root. In the setup, you should be able to select install from hard drive or DOS or something similar. Just specify the directory you put the packages in.

There is no need to delete the iso images. There is also no need to burn CD's. I do not know if the slackware boot disk as a loopback device, if so, you could just mount the iso images within the install process to access the packages. If no loopback device on the boot disk and you don't feel like improvising a setup, mount the isoimages with the loopback device within Mandrake and copy the files to a regular filesystem. It beats downloading them again, for sure.

Search the forum. Some time ago there was athread that told how to do this. basically, you just mount the iso image and point slackware setup to that
