If you look at the number of posts in the Distribution forums, the Slackware forum is the most active here on LQ.org. So it's normal Slack comes first.
Which doesn't mean I dont agree - it just means that it's not a representative result.
isnt also true that linuxquestions.org was set up as a forum for slack users first....thus leading to high amount of slack posts and thus voting slack as the best distro....not that i dont agree (i left red hat for slack and havent looked back since...everything just works....)
My mistake, I don't know what the heck is going on, it seems my mouse has developed a mind of its own. Again, in case my original apology didn't get posted, It is a malfunction or stupidity on my part, either way, my apologies to all.
um.. slackware doesn't really have another forum.. .. at least not an official one. this is also linked to on the site and therefore as official as any will ever be..
Regardless, LQ is pretty big, and many users come looking for help, not only for Slackware, but also for other distributions.
The polls just represent what GNU/Linux distribution the LQ users prefer; therefore, we as Slackers, must rejoice in the fact that in LQ our Distro came out victorious in the always difficult run of what distro is better.
