Unhappy Slackware 13 x86 Installation Freezes During Font-Cache Generation!

I've been trying to install Slackware 13 x86, regretfully every time the installer finishes installing the packages and goes past the "preparing you're Linux for first use" stage, it starts the font caching script. this is where the computer freezes. the cursor on-screen keeps blinking for hours without moving on....

the installation went fine when i installed it in ~Virtual Box.
i have a P45 motherboard with core2duo e6300 and 4GB of ram. Video card - nvidia 9600GT.

i even tried parameter 'noapic' and 'noapci' without any fruitful results.

***note***
Slackware x64 works perfectly though.
