Slackware 11 and movies

Hey all,

I like to watch a few trailers on http://www.apple.com/trailers/ once in a while, but more often than not I find that my Firefox 2.0.0.4/Mplayer plugin combo comes up short and just crashes.

Is there a better way? Perhaps Opera and some other plugin. Or maybe Opera and Mplayer? Or maybe Firefox and a completely different plugin?

Any and all ideas are welcome, as it pains me having to switch to Windows just to be able to watch a few trailers.

Hope someone can help..

Thomas

Grab the link (if possible) from the page source, and use the normal mplayer :P
Then wear an "I am geek" t-shirt.

Another solution: those trailers are usually available somewhere else (a.k.a. downloadable) and mplayer can handle them just fine.

I've found mplayer-plugin to be quite unstable.

A good replacement is mozplugger:
http://mozplugger.mozdev.org/

I tried it with some trailers and it seems to work fine.

Remember to remove mplayer-plugin before installing this.
