Cool slack-current & Evolution

Hi!

I have a big problem, I've installed slack-current, it works fine but I cannot get evolution to work (and I have all my contacts/mails and shit in a .evolution dir)

Whenever I try to start it it comes up with cannot find .. libbonobo.so.2 and similar files ..
I've tried to solve the dependencies manually, by searching and finding all the files and copy them manually into /usr/lib ... but it seems to be a never ending story ..

Can someone help me, cause I really need to get it to work .. (I don't want to have to go back to 8.1, now when I finally got ready to upgrade..*grin*)

thanks in advance ...

Ken

Try the following logged in as su or root:

1. oaf-slay

2. If you updated Mozilla from the original installed version, you will need to add the mozilla library directory to your /etc/ld.so.conf file.

3. run ldconfig

It's odd, but the shared libraries from Mozilla and Ximian Evolution are broken when Mozilla is updated, maybe because the new Mozilla is installed in a different directory.
