Slack 9.0- upgrade to 9.1 or just Swaret to Current?

Hi, I am working on a computer for a friend and he has Slackware 9.0 installed.

I want to upgrade it while I have it but was wondering if I just point Swaret to the current folder and also allow Kernel upgrade, will it be the same as changing to 9.1? If not, why? I don't have the CD's for 9.1 anymore so if this would work, it would take much less work and time. Thanks for your opinions. I am open for suggestions on this.

Just save yourself time and Swaret to current. Why upgrade to 9.1 when you can go all the way?
