Slack 12.1 Running Very fast after installing Vista

After I installed Vista on My PC.And rebooted into Windows a couple of times to Make everything Installed ok.After making sure Vista was running ok I rebooted back into Slackware. And the cursor was Blinking at a Very fast rate.So I ran startx to see if it was just the Cursor. But it wasn't.
It was the Cursor,Startup Sound and My Clock.I tried reformatting and installing both Operating Systems. But the same Problem was still There. If Anyone Can Help.I would be Most Thankful. If nothing more than pointing Me in the Right direction.

The Vista install shouldn't have any effect on the Linux install at all. It would more likely be a bios setting. I'd start by checking the settings in the bios and go from there.

That's odd, I remember this happened once on my old desktop, but not because I installed Window$ (I didn't), but because of a strange kernel bug. In your case, I'm pretty sure this is not the case, it could be something with the BIOS, but would a Window$ install change this ? I doubt it, and yet, can you trust M$ ?

Sounds like a hardware or BIOS problem to me... Reset BIOS to start with, if that doesnt help run memtest. If memtest doesnt find any errors in your RAM then I'd start pulling/replacing things (CPU, GPU and so forth) of the motherboard.
