setting up internet in small LAN

Hi all,

i have small lan with 3 computers, two win xp and one slackware comp. All three are connected on router (mark: Level ONE), and router is connected to cable modem.

I have dhcp settings for router from my ISP, but there is a problem with internet on linux comp. Network is working properly (i can ping linux comp from other two comps), but i can't surf internet with lynx web browser.

Alert! Unable to connect to remote host

Did you set the default gateway on all the PCs to the routers internal IP address?

He says that he get's it by dhcp.
dhcp must also provide a dg. Try and run dhcpcd and look at the output of ifconfig. Also try to ping a nameserver on the internet to be absolute sure it that your Internet is not working.

only option that we made on router was MAC address and nothing else. Everything is signed by DHCP, our IP, DNS, Gateway.

Router has got also his IP and thats it 192.168.0.1,

Computer 1 and 2 (Win XP) IP 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3
Linux computer 192.168.0.100

Yes, I did.

What about DNS, what DNS need netconfig?

Can you ping a internet adres? (194.109.9.99) ?
is /etc/resolve.conf good?

No it says:

"Network is unreachable"

Did you provide that ip on the interface? Or did you get it automaticly?

If not, try and run:

dhcpcd

Thank you for all replays.

I found a mistake, it was the wrong nameserver, but i don't know what was wrong with netconfig. It didn't want to work, so i setup manually.
