ruby-gtk2 requires another package not listed on SBo, ruby-pkg-config http://rubygems.org/gems/pkg-config

The SlackBuild on SBo should work with the newer version of ruby-gtk2.
Thanks for your help! problem solved.
although the ruby-gtk2-0.90.8 version gave me a lot of problems and i had to downgrade to ruby-gtk2-0.90.6
Best part about this is i actually learned a bit about how packages work in slackware.

FYI, if you use kde you can also rip your stuff with dolphin
